I’m so productive
Week 15(17-21)
My accomplishments
I taught two lessons this week
about Song of the Flower and affixes. I facilitated during the spelling bee, poem
writing, and essay writing. I also facilitated during the cleaning time of our
class.
My significant experience
Last Friday the advisory class of
our critic teacher had their recollection therefore we had to teach the other
class of our critic teacher. I am so nervous upon seeing the substitute of our
critic teacher her face is very strict. While we are about to enter the class
she instructed us that she will give first reminders because that class is
known as the very worst section. She is very strict in giving guidelines, we
are shocked because all of them are silent. When we are about to discuss they
are very participative and actively listening to the topic. They are
participative by giving their own examples on affixes. It feels good if you
know that students had learn a lot from you.
My insights
Classroom management is very
important for us teachers. We must know how to handle our students even if they
are the very worst section. It is very helpful for the both teachers and
students if the class is listening attentively. If the class is managed well
then the flow of discussion is good.
My problem
While discussing my lesson I ask
my students to give their own examples of a word that has a suffix ending in
er/or. All of them give their own examples but one student caught my attention
his example is “emperador” I don’t know how to process his example.
My solution
Since we are team teaching with
my partner, I ask her helped. We ask the root word of “emperador” some of them
are giving root words. We processed by telling them that it has no root word
because it is just a brand of a liquor.
Goals for next week
To helped our critic teacher for
the logo making of our students. To give more interactive activities that would
enhance the skills of our students.
